    Pacific Customs Brokers is offering a Basics of Importing Seminar. This seminar will be of interest to business owners, purchasers, shippers and junior shipping staff. If you are considering or involved in the first stages of importing commercial goods, attendance at this seminar will be of benefit to you. We will educate you on the legal responsibility of the importer and the legal role of a customs broker. In addition, our instructors will teach the fundamentals of commercial importation of goods into Canada and the United States.     Pacific Customs Brokers is offering information sessions pertaining to the pending U.S. Customs Regulations relating to shipping of "Residual Materials and Liquids". This regulation will affect any instrument of international traffic (tankers, drums, containers, etc.) regardless of amount or type, containing residual cargo must be manifested and entered in compliance with U.S. Customs laws. By attending the information session, you will hear from a Licensed Customs Broker as well as from a spokesperson from U.S. Customs and Border Protection. This session will be helpful and informative to importers of bulk products, carriers of cargo where residual materials remain on board, shippers, self-carried load shippers (petroleum, chemicals, food liquids, waste products, slops, cement, etc.).

    Pacific Customs Brokers is offering a NAFTA Seminar/Workshop for both Canadian & U.S. companies. This session will be of interest to: Business Owners, Operation Managers, Controllers, Purchasers, Logistics Supervisors/Coordinators, Production Managers and new employees of companies importing/exporting within North America. We will assist you in understanding your responsibilities under NAFTA, and will provide you with practical tools for completing certification of your products. In addition, we will educate you on the Rules of Origin and classification of your goods under the Harmonized Tariff Schedule. The seminars take place in an informal setting at our facility in Surrey, B.C.
