Accounts Receivable Clerk

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Ensure that outstanding receivables remain within company targets
  • Keep Customer accounts within terms
  • Resolve and follow up on Customer account issues and liaise with operations
  • Prepare and send statements to Customers
  • Collections
  • Follow up on delinquent accounts and determine when accounts may be trending towards delinquent
  • Reconcile Customer accounts
  • Maintain a log of Customer calls and Correspondence
  • Post payments to accounts
  • Prepare bank deposits
  • Occasional bank and mail runs
  • Other duties when required


Qualifications:

  • Excellent communication skills -- oral and written
  • 2-3 years related experience
  • Formal accounting/bookkeeping training an asset
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Strong computer skills (Word, Excel)
  • Valid BC Driver's License
  • Experienced with integrated computer systems
  • Some knowledge of Transportation and/or Customs Brokerage industry would be an asset
