Junior Accounts Receivable Clerk

We are presently seeking a junior A/R clerk for our group of companies. Reporting to the Controller, you will be working within an A/R team


Primary Responsibilities:

  • Ensure that outstanding receivables remain within company targets
  • Keep Customer accounts within terms
  • Resolve and follow up on Customer account issues and liaise with operations
  • Prepare and send statements to Customers
  • Collections
  • Follow up on delinquent accounts and determine when accounts may be trending towards delinquent
  • Reconcile Customer accounts
  • Maintain a log of Customer calls and Correspondence
  • Post payments to accounts
  • Prepare bank deposits
  • Bank and mail runs. Good driving record required
  • Other duties when required
  • Monday - Friday 9:30 AM to 6 PM. Occasional paid overtime


  • Excellent communication skills -- oral and written
  • 2-3 years A/R experience
  • Excellent Customer service skills
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Detail orientation
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Valid BC Driver's License
  • Experienced with integrated computer systems
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team
  • Some knowledge of Transportation and/or Customs Brokerage industry would be an asset
