Section 301 Update: 10% Additional Duty Assessed On $300 Billion Goods From China

June 1, 2023

President Trump announced August 1st, 2019, the US would be implementing a 10% additional duty on imports of the remaining $300 Billion worth of Chinese goods.

The 10% additional duty is set to take place on September 1st, 2019.

US Representatives just returned from China where they engaged in trade talks that were very constructive, and which will remain ongoing.

The US will implement the 10% duty citing the Chinese did not fulfill their promise to buy US agricultural products in great quantities. President Trump also stated President Xi said he would stop the sale of Fentanyl to the US which has not happened.
