Digital Marketing Specialist (Maternity Leave)

Since 1916, Pacific Customs Brokers have been the go-to experts of international trade services, and we are looking for a Digital Marketing Specialist superstar to join our team!

Reporting to the Manager of Marketing and Communications, this position will champion our digital marketing strategies for our three different, but exciting groups!

PCB Global Trade Management: This includes our international trade service companies including PCB Canada, PCB USA, and PCB Freight Management. From landing pages to webinars, SEO and far beyond, you will play a critical role in ensuring that when businesses and individuals face a border challenge, they find PCB first!

The Derby Bar & Grill: Yes, you read that correctly. This international trade company also owns and runs a restaurant! We want to continue driving foot traffic, and let everyone know where to find the best spot in town.

Our Internal Community: Marketing isn’t always outward facing. Our staff are a cherished part of our organization, and we want to continue organizing events and creating programs to foster our awesome culture!

Please note that this is a temporary position to cover an upcoming maternity leave.

We Offer:

  • Salary range of $55,000 - $57,000 (based on experience)

The Key Responsibilities:

  • Create, proof, and publish multi-channel publications including email, social media, web, and video.
  • Monitor and report on Marketing Metric KPIs
  • Perform ongoing keyword research for content marketing opportunities
  • Optimizing copy and webpages for search and answer engines
  • Develop and execute paid AdWords campaigns in strategic markets
  • Implement Social media and digital campaigns
  • Develop and implement link-building strategies
  • Experiment with new and alternative ways to leverage digital media activities ("Marketing R&D")
  • Basic web design skills, including coding
  • Monitor and respond to online reviews and social media engagement

The Key Required Skills:

  • Minimum 3 years of Digital Marketing experience
  • Strong knowledge of search engines and optimization tools, including GA4, SEM Rush, and Microsoft Clarity
  • Strong knowledge of answer engines and AEO
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to find and interpret key performance indicators
  • Proficiency with Google Ads and Meta Ads Manager
  • Up-to-date knowledge of algorithm upgrades, measurement tools, and changes in the marketing landscape
  • Ability to explain your ideas and techniques to a lay audience
  • Ability to interact positively with a wide range of business units
  • Ability to edit videos
  • Ability to create images using Canva and/or Adobe Illustrator
  • Effective presentation and reporting skills

We're located at the US/Canada border crossing (176th Street and 1st Avenue) in South Surrey/White Rock. There's no public transportation to our office so you must have a vehicle to get here.
